COVID-19 MANDATORY REGISTER
As per the current guidelines, every person over the age of 16, MUST register their name and phone number when attending Mass or visiting the Parish. As this is a legal requirement, please ensure that you arrive early to complete the relevant paperwork.
The Government has also developed the SafeWA App for the purposes of contact tracing. SafeWA is provided by the Department of Health in Western Australia as part of WA’s measures to limit the spread of COVID-19. SafeWA is a contactless and convenient way for people to check-in at Western Australian venues and events. The information is then sent to WA Health to help with faster COVID-19 related contact tracing - this helps to keep the community safe. The QR Code for mobiles to be used for this App is also available for use within our Parish. This is a voluntary app. You do not have to use SAFEWA to check into our Parish, however you must fill in a declaration form. A copy of the declaration form is also available from our website. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in continuing to keep our State safe.
PARISH OFFICE
Please note the Parish office will be open only on Tuesdays & Wednesdays in January. Office hours will be from 8:30am-3:30pm on both days.
ST ANTHONY’S 60th ANNIVERSARY
The Diamond Jubilee of Saint Anthony’s Parish, is a wonderful opportunity for us to give thanks to God for the 60 years of our Parish community. It is an opportunity to honour our past, embrace our present and look forward to the future with hope and enthusiasm.
The humble beginning of Saint Anthony’s Parish goes back to the year 1961 when the new Parish community was established and the first Parish Priest, Father Paul Keyte SDS was appointed.Father Paul belonged to the Society of the Divine Saviour, known also as Salvatorians which had been established by Father Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan on the 8th December 1881 in Rome.
The first Church and the School of Saint Anthony’s was located in Bellevue and then, in 1983 relocated to the present site by the Parish Priest of that time, Fr Laurence Murphy SDS.
There were a number of Salvatorian Priests serving the Parish community of Saint Anthony’s.Early in the piece the Salvatorian Priests were from the British Province and from the late 1980’s until present time, the Parish community of Saint Anthony’s has been entrusted to the Pastoral care of Salvatorian Priest from the Polish Province.
Saint Anthony’s Parish Greenmount cordially invites all past and present Parishioners to the celebration of this milestone of our Parish. During the Diamond Jubilee Year, our Parish will be holding a number of celebrations:
