CHILDREN’S STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Our school children will be dramatizing the Stations of the Cross, next Friday 28th March at 6.00pm. On this night we also hold our annual soup night. Please write your name down on the list in the Church foyer, if you are able to help us with providing a large pot of soup of any sort, as long as it has NO MEAT or if you are able to help on the night. A Gold coin donation for Caritas on the night will get you a lovely bowl of soup and a bread roll.

ABSTINCENCE AND FAST DURING LENT
All Fridays during Lent are days of fasting and abstinence. We are also encouraged to fast and abstain from meat on all Friday’s during Lent. According to Church teachings, the law of fasting ‘binds those who have completed their 18th year, until the beginning of their 60th year; the law of abstinence binds those who have completed their 14th year. As Catholics we partake in the "paschal fast" to honor the suffering and death of the Lord Jesus, and to prepare ourselves to share more fully and to celebrate more readily his Resurrection.
